A poem

I cannot settle for ordinary,

For even as a child.

I chose the vampire over the boy.

Enchanted by the darkness and feeling.

Wanting a word painted in red and black,

Caught in an endless dance.

With an eternal burning and longing.

As if I’ve longed for a thousand years.

Yet I’ve lived so few.

Could there really be oceans of time?

That I have lived over and over.

Searching for the glimmer of a soul

So much like my own.

Is it really so evil to imagine,

Two souls searching for one another.

Willing to battle the masses,

As a villain over hero.

Go against society and its order.

To finally be with one another

Oooh this is deliciously aching!! Maybe we’ve all been here craving something intense, forbidden, but true.✨
