A dinner prepared.
Honesty, Truth on the side
Freedom for dessert.
—-
Once you’d tasted Love,
You would never settle for
Your current menu.
—-
If you’d be honest,
You’d be at a kinder table,
Dinner beyond words.
—-
What if you’d let go?
You could be saying “oh wow,
Thank you for this feast ! ”
—-
She, watching from far,
Would be at the table too
Where three plates were set.
—-
Hopes dashed, “enough” in doubt ,
Self- disappointment circles
Faithfully loyal one.
