SOUL AND HEART

True faith is deep inside,

Beyond the surface, it resides,

While external impurities washed away,

But hate and ego leave a stain that stays.

No amount of cleansing can erase,

The marks they leave on the soul,

Although love can purify the heart.

And can make a new start.

Abstinence and fasting may purify the body,

They are not a solution to hatred and bigotry.

In the end, it's not the outward show,

But the inner purity that counts more,

So let us strive to cleanse our hearts,

And let love be our guiding light,

For with it, we can conquer the inner world,

And make our world a place of pure delight.
