Sorry Nana...Funny little ditty
Clicking 'filthy' instead of 'family'.

I wrote of my wonderful human Nana
using catty feline references
then skipped across to publish it proudly
I went through all of the required steps
prior to choosing a Community
Then moonwalked over to
'add a tag so readers know
what your story is about',
But instead of clicking on FAMILY
I mistakenly clicked FILTHY
and off to be published it flew...but...woe is me

Filthy...it read, barely visible, unless one really looked
but still...
Now, maybe no one noticed, but oh dear...
What if Nana sees her story under filthy
I would feel so bad....
I quickly hit edit...trying to take it back
But that little bugger stayed firm
refusing to budge, perhaps having a good laugh
at my expense...alas...what to do
Perhaps I am really making a mountain
out of a tiny molehill
For knowing her...
Nana would probably have a good laugh
thinking filthy is the new fangled way
of saying something nice
"Young people these days...
they say the darndest things".
And just like that, I feel so much better
Seeing Nana's face light up...
Maybe filthy can also mean...filthy happy
Happy filthy
Just saying...
Words can be construed in any way we wish.
Right!

lol what a fun read. I could feel the anxiety looming in your intro and the sweaty palms I saw in my imagination as I read. The backstory was a great place to start. Yes, words can be construed into whatever we want. We are writing magicians. Although we can also be spoken of or referred to as — ‘young people these days, they say the darnest things.’ ‘Flithy happy’ sounds like it should be a thing ‘Happy filthy’ should be its quirky cousin. 🤗♥️

Hahahhahahahahhaha this was filthy hilarious! See what I did there? Lol. Loved this!
I love the humor in this poem. It made my day!!!! You might have the coolest nana in the world
bahahaha....your poem reminds me of how a couple of my grandsons (who are twenty) and I have conversations....it's like speaking to someone in a foreign language almost because we have to stop and explain each of our lingos.
