Sorrow Finds

an abecedarian poem

By Ravenne Published 2 years ago 1 min read

Albeit the sun rises daily, we open our eyes.

Beauty on earth we seem not to find, in the pales of our sky.

Caressed by sadness, her kiss stings our cheeks.

Do-gooders even find themselves wrapped in grief.

Every one of us, in constant motion

Forget-me-nots wilt when left unquenched in clay jugs.

Girls and boys

Having fun in the sun on summer days.

Inside it often rains, and rains, and rains

Judge not

Knowledge is everything

Love is not lost to us whom heartache stalks.

Marry yourself to misery

Normality’s beloved game

Often then we unearth ourselves to blame

Pursue the world, it isn’t always so blue.

Question

Rally

Sorrow permeates all

Truth be told

Unrequited life will get you nowhere

Value what you have, time is ephemeral

We are born unknowing, and pure

Xylograph yourself into this earth

You must live with

Zealous

About the Creator

Ravenne

We witness and experience so many beautiful and harsh things on this earth. I want to share the beauty. The raw. Write about those things and create worlds from pieces of our own. I hope you enjoy my work.
