sonnets and stars

and buried blades

For you I am sonnets and stars

Initials carved into tree trunks

Seeds planted in soft soil

For you I am prologues

And plane tickets

For you I have sanded back my sharp edges

And filed my fangs

For you I have poured the poison down the sink (and only drunk medicine)

For you I have buried the blades

And banished the creatures beneath my bed

To them I may be the darkness

But for you I will always

Be the constellations

Always the best option! “For you I have poured the poison down the sink (and only drunk medicine)”

  • I take it you're not talking to me. But kudos to whomever you are speaking!

  • This is poignant and heartfelt reflection of a love story, sad and broken
