My love is a love that sees me.

Our lips, they are, duality.

Speaking the sounds of our heartbeats wanting.

They dance, quiver and fold; sometimes even touching.

Only for a moment, in that breath, that loss of space.

Gone is the pain of what’s haunting.

Haunting you and I, in the light and the dark, in the shadows of our longing.

And would you let me hold you, while you cry?

Every tear, a shard of glass, from which your mind is now free.

Let me wipe the blood away, and in my lap, I’ll let you stay.

You can plant yourself in the red-stained soil, roots grounded, here with me.

In this fertile earthy mess, watered with our sadness, we can shine on each other.

We can grow, in this light, of all the bliss that’s leftover.

Safely shrouded in each others’ shade, we can watch the sunrise, together again.
