Sonnet #13

Argument

By ChampionElCidPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

You now no longer wish to be my friend

It seems that we will now be forced to part

I wonder why you desire this to end?

What great force has taken hold of your heart

You say that I don't follow the right path

And that I don't respect the god you serve

For that I must be subject to your wrath

This ending then is what I do deserve

You say you don't regret, our falling out

It's best for us to go our separate ways

There hasn't been a yell or scream or shout

Our friendship now is merely set ablaze

Your church says I am wrong, and you agree

But I say you are blind, and cannot see
