Music for the tongue.

Rainbows that tastebuds can see.

Songs chewed up, then sung.

It warms my belly

And sings deep into my soul.

Makes top chefs jelly.

Conversations flow

Past my ears as I bite down

And feel my joy grow.

Juices dribble down,

But not a care in the world

In my own playground.

Problems dropped just now.

My focus lasered to taste

And feelings of "wow."

Entertained and free,

I wrap myself in blankets

Of this ecstasy.

It's worth the car ride.

Washes away the symptoms

Of stress by my side.

The spice is so right.

The flavors are harmonic.

The herbs taste so bright.

Perfectly crispy

On the outside as tender

Inside kisses me.

My friend's fried chicken

Is the best I've ever had

And worth all lickin'.
