Sometimes It’s in the Words We Don’t Say
A Poem of Grief

*Somethings are best said in silence…
Sometimes it’s in
The words we
Don’t say
It’s
The lessons
Taught in silence
That are Sometimes
Best learned from.
Sometimes words
Carry pain
And are best left
Alone
Silence is
The gift best
Given
When you
Feel like
Saying
“I told you so.”
Sometimes grief
Does not need words
It simply needs
A gentle touch
That proverbial
Hug
Because grief
Is not meant
To be captured
In words
But in love.
Sometimes
The things we
Want to say
Don’t need to
Be said at all
Silence is
The gift
Best given.
