Something Missing
Something Remains

Love lingers in the fingerprints
long after they have gone
Our teardrops falling, hit or miss
Reminding they've moved on
But somewhere in the silence
A sense of what they were, remains
And I gather the resilience
To go on somehow, again

<3 very lovely, Kelli <3 Both words and the image <3
I feel their remains too. Lovingly done.
The marks we made on the wall or in the doorway marking their heights along with their name, age & year. The remembrances of moments we treasured together. The moments they treasured alone & the ache that comes with having missed them. The moments we treasured alone which they have never yet understood, but might someday. Yeah, I live there too.
Amazing poem but those first two lines are something else. Loved this!
