Someone Just As Loyal As You
By Natalie Marie Stefani Rice

You know lately I've been thinking;
It's been really rough these last few months.
I can see how the light you shined on me has diminished somehow.
And I just want you to understand that "all this" now I know.
And I caught you looking, seeking, searching.
While I sat waiting, hoping, praying.
And I want you to know that I hope that you find her.
No, really I do.
You have so much to offer, this is the truth.
I'm not here to blast you or wish you bad ill.
I'm only here to let go.
See, I've had more than my fill.
I know one morning, down the road, maybe years from now,
You'll wake up with her but be reminded of me somehow.
Perhaps in a dream or in a fantasy I'll inspire.
My only regret now will be what in fact transpires.
You'll be burdened with our cross to bear,
I don't wish this for you, for real I swear.
You'll pray for His mercy,
And for my forgiveness you'll beg.
I knew my instincts were solid it's not all in my head.
I hope she's fine tuned for the challenges she'll get.
I'm stuck with the damages and filled with regret.
Trust me she 'll need all the help she can get.
People had warned me right from the start.
I ignored all their insight, I followed my heart.
I hope that you find her.
No really I do.
I hope she's just as caring and honest like you.
That would be something, now wouldn't it Blue?
To find someone just as loyal as you.
