Someday I will look back,
As I do now,
All of the voices in my head,
And all of the worrying so loud,
The small moments of peace that I had felt in the midst of it all,
The creek alongside the train tracks,
The Earth decided to remain still, and in those seconds,
I was able to let go.
Sticking my baby toes into the flowing river, and letting the Earth pull the trauma back into itself,
Someday I will look back,
And I will miss this stupid little town, that I so desperately long to leave,
Interestingly enough, I already do,
Missing the memories, the comfort, and the stillness,
As depressed as I am,
I will have moments like I do,
Simply missing what once was.
