Someday

A poem to the one that hurt me the most.

By Sarah WilliamsPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Someday

It won't faze me

What you think about me

Who you think I should be

How nothing is enough

To please you

 Someday

It won't scare me

How you're still out there

Living, breathing, existing

And I'm here

With my memories

With a broken spirit

With tears falling to the floor

Someday

I won't care

I'll be free

Free to laugh and exist

Without fear or pain

Without hints of you

Without harsh words to tear me down

With a twisted smile

Like only a monster could have

 Someday

Lights will be brighter

Words will mean more

I'll laugh harder

And everything will be okay again

 Someday
