Some Say She Is Weird
Some say she is weird
her dress too dark her eyes too clear
her silence sharp her smile slight
a shadow moving through the night
She drinks her tea in quiet ways
she does not care for shallow praise
the world may laugh the world may sneer
but none can touch the strength she bears
A whisper cold a glance unkind
cannot disturb her steady mind
for those who judge will never see
the power in her mystery
She reads the cards she knows what will be
that’s why they say she is weird you see.
