Solitude

No end

Draped across a bed of stars,

I listen as sorrow cascades across the deep blue sea of the sky.

Showering storms fill the void gaping wide,

The howling winds, a scream of black and grey,

Reluctant of choices,

Abandoned in the walls of my own creation,

Chapters in my past are forever close to me; the pages,

They glisten and shimmer of joy and love,

Insidious, I dare not touch.

Oh, the solitude that defines my life,

Now lack my existence but a better understanding.
