We wish to be left alone
but not long enough for solitude to become home,
maybe solitude is too sweet
so we look for others to lighten its taste,
too much like a toothache
and anymore beyond our own sake,
so we wash it down with the embrace of others
in hopes for the sweet taste to become bitter.
