Solace in Spring's Embrace
Reflections on Life's Seasons
By Yunah FanPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

In early spring, on the fifth day, inspired,
I sing to find solace in my own accord.
Before my steps, the water flows, a jade-like murmur,
Love my humble abode, content in seclusion.
Above my house, the verdant mountains stand,
The mountain birds joyfully call to one another.
In my youth, I chased empty dreams of fame,
Now old, what desires remain?
Idle moments fill, tasks incomplete,
By the moon's edge, I fish, by the rain's edge, I hoe.
Beneath the flowers, the wind arrives,
Disrupting my reading of tattered books.
Who calls upon the Nine Plains, stirring the philosopher to rise,
Leaning on a painting, weary of wandering.
