People say, ‘Grow where you’re planted’,

Like it's an easy thing to do.

Do they take into consideration,

The soil you’re in?

Do they think of the mistruths?

Of the salt mislabelled as fertilizer?

No.

How could they?

They don’t know what it takes,

To grow through salt.

They don’t know what it takes,

How many rains are needed to

Wash that hate,

That salt,

Away.

Can you grow where you’re planted?

Yes.

You can not change who you are with a change in location.

You may get more sun,

More rain,

More nurture,

But you will be a daffodil, still,

whether in China, or Brazil.

You must look at your soil.

Assess yourself.

Once you see the fertilizer is salt,

You can begin the cleanse.

To wash it from your roots.

You can begin to heal.
