So Simple Yet So Misunderstood

Love

Love,

So simple, yet so misunderstood

Love,

Do what I say and what I want and give me what I need from you

Love,

Is full of big expectations of others and from others

Love,

And then red and blue make purple, because that is what is meant to be

Love,

So I cry and I get your attention

Love,

Like in the movies, let’s become someone else but us

Love,

And I squeeze myself so I can get to be number one, for you

Love,

Is never enough, we always want more

Love,

But what if instead…

Love,

You do what you say and what you want and give yourself what you need from you

Love,

With no expectations, just free, freeing others and yourself

Love,

No attention needed, so I cry just because I need to cry

Love,

For real, and become more you than ever

Love,

And I give myself the time I need to rest, so I can be my number one for me

And then…

Love,

Would be enough, enough for me and you, no craving needed

Love.
