Snow Falling Like Ashes

Snow falling like ashes blankets the bodies of the fallen -
inked to the bone for the wars they bled,
lying to themselves for the cause they swore to protect,
enshrouded by ignorance for the people who are
not like them, for they are monsters in their eyes;
cunning sorcerers who wielded flame before the onslaught,
even though they too shed tears in the falling snow.

A beautiful use of the challenge!
The Artistry you always seem to display is enviable. I so enjoy that you write and share on this platform. This i just stunning, I love how the magic is not lost despite the sadness and dealing with conflict and wars and the fallen. Just something beautiful and serene about it. Well done.
Wow! So magical it all it’s conflict and sadness. Awesome!!!
