The stars are different colors tonight,
a breath away,
kaleidoscoping* in your eyes,
long enough that I've almost forgotten
what color they truly are.
❄️
It must be colder than I thought;
the snow has frozen mid-fall,
perfectly placed
as if this is Hallmark
and we are the stars.
❄️
And just like every Hallmark,
here is the moment
where your lips finally touch mine.
❄️
Now I think I've died.
You're here too, in this slice of heaven
and all we've left behind
are snow angels, grasping hands,
and a love the stars are jealous of.
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
*Kaleidoscoping is not a real word, which is such a shame.

So beautiful, Alexandria! Reminded me of a dream i didn’t want to end. The last stanza imagery was to die for! 😉
This is beautiful. Well done.
Lovely work!
It should be a word! … lovely poem, very heartfelt 🩵 excellent writing.
Beautifully written with such a cozy cool feel.
The imagery of the stars and the snow, combined with the Hallmark-like moment, creates an enchanting scene.
