A snake you say I am -

Not a woman or an innocent lamb,

Neither a citizen or a thinking being -

Ignorant to my well-being.

Very often I ponder:

Eve's role that was squandered -

Righteous morality told through the first sin,

Sex that is sold as lesser than other kin.

Arbitrary beliefs held by men

Regurgitated time and again -

Yielding their lies only when the fangs descend.

Beautifully written, Amanda! A great tribute to feminism... particularly with the mention of Eve! I've always hated how her actions were twisted as a justification to hate/distrust women... Also! The touch on the additional biblical imagery with the fangs/serpent. Immaculate! [1/5]
