smoke trail whips, as tail

horseback ride continues, long

the way, right or wrong?

regal pines swoon tall

eagle lands on soft cliff edge

food rations are slim

sore muscles, again

how did we come this far now?

river bends and sends

“Regal pines swoon tall” ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I also use a pseudonym. Maybe one day I’ll reveal my true identity.

I like “soft cliff edge.” It juxtaposes the sharpness of a drop-off with a soft landing spot. It can be both, perhaps Very nice 😊

Beautifully rhythmic and cinematic! Loved the rugged calm in each verse.

Such rich imagery, I feel like I'm on the trail looking for smoke directions, and waiting for the Spirit to guide us. 💨
