When she was five,
Her world ended
It was a quick demise
And she learned to disguise
The fateful pain
She was faithful to joy
I pledged allegiance to a smile
Of this land and to the my friends
For which they stand
One laugh under the sun,
In happiness, play, and connection for all
Whenever life didn’t go this way,
She would stop her crying
Throw her hand over heart and recite
Faithful she would drop the frown
Pick up a smile
And move onward
Because leaving the sadness behind
Was the only way to survive the drowning depression

I love making fun of my emotions, feelings, and thoughts in short form writing such as songs and illustrations. I would like to write longer and more explorative pieces for others to read.
