Smile

“Our First Time”

By Julie BarrientesPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

i picture it now

your chest on mine

my hands on your back

my arms perpendicular to your collar bones

your eyes,, parallel to mine

i look into them like a deep pool of water

i fear that i'll fall in and not want to come up for air

drowning,, i feel your hands brush my hips

your heart beating out of your chest i can hear it tick like a clock

you lean down and our lips are now on the same plane

our tongues act like intersecting lines

my cheeks widen into a grin and yours act like a mirror

the heat from your breath travels to my neck

i feel your lips form a smile on my skin

and my heart screams,, "home"

love poems
