I have gathered together some of my smaller pieces published on my X/Twitter account in honor of poetry month.

The purring plump pussycat
The purring plump pussycat's powers of persuasion are prodigious.
That petite paw breaks me as it pleads for the pleasure of me pausing in place.
The purring plump pussycat would rather have me peruse poetry in periodicals then print and laminate to be paid a pittance.

The rose of Sharon
I was swept into desire this gloaming,
The Song of the Solomon echoed around my brain,
As I drowned in the pool of rain
At the bottom of the rose of Sharon,
That as I gazed upon
Was keening,
No screaming into my every fiber
Desire,
Aching to be released.

Scarlet hibiscus
The burgeoning scarlet hibiscus,
Sang to me in the gloaming.
Whispering of passion...
Yet to be had.

Dusk creeps in
Dusk creeps in
Rain drizzles as I walk.
Bats and sparrows above
Circling my turmoil.
