Small Shoes

Old Poem

By Chick OrlandoPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Small feet means small shoes, get free and get loose

You must be smaller than you let on, it's that kind of insouciance that sets me off

You must be older than I know, like that old folk music that speaks to me so

The way I speak is stupid, everything I do is worse

So I'll flick matches with dolphins, I've heard their smart

Or I'll go build with The Beetles, anything to get you to leave me alone

Sometimes I feel like you can't help but confuse

You call me up just to let the line ring... (ring)
