Sleepless nights

Between teething

By Muma JoJoPublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

Laughter. Boo. I’m going to scare you.

Little footsteps. Pitter patter.

Come closer. I’ll get you.

They run. they laugh. and jump into your arms.

Oh what a blessing. All of its joys.

I’ve had no sleep. Neither have you. I’m lagging and you are jumping for joy.

How can this be. All this energy. Please sleep. My child. I need to breathe.

Good days are slow. Two sleeps. I hope. If not. All screams. Tantrums.

Head against wall. Just breathe. You. Will. Be. Okay.

Please. Sleep.

Words from the mother of a teething child.

Muma JoJo

Poems from a deranged, sleep deprived muma. Trying to make sense of a world that seems to be falling through my fingers.

(Expressing thoughts in moments of dispair, it’s not always roses)

P.S I’m loving being a mum, I’m completely ok!
