I'm fighting
sleep.
Struggling
against it,
tugging at me,
trying to kidnap,
my mind
unless maybe
I could dream of her
That would
make it easier
for me to give in
close my eyes
and let it
take me,
unconscious

I think many of us writers tend to struggle with some sleep disturbances.
I love this. The words you chose and the way you put them together emanate a somber sleepy feel. You successfully communicated your message in a very creative and original way.
