Skater Girl

When I skate I feel free, invincible and wild, released from life's burdens, with the heart of a child

I'm something untamed, full of power and grace, an unstoppable force, from another time and place

I fly across the ground, with the wind in my hair, traveling to nowhere, with no thought or care

Exhilaration fills me, as blood pumps through my veins, endorphins race through me, bringing joy to my brain

I'm right in my element, doing the thing that I love, counting my blessings, poured down from above

And I'm not gonna stop, no matter what people say, cause I've been through the fire, now it's my turn to play
