six months in

engagement rings and right times run round around my recollections

past actions deliver disappointment

five hours wrangling worry

creating fear

terror traumatizing veins ran cold

he casts protective nets within my broken bones

purple blue hues fading away

nightly tremors shaken awake to hyperventilate

six months in

lifetimes already lived

chasing dreams

planes flown off

revealing undone flaws

gasping wounds sprinting open chasms of metaphorical flesh

i love you’s sealing rips

six months in

six months in and he’s the one

when you know you know

no questions to be asked

six months in

singular dreams a nonexistent memory

white picket fences appearing as home not prison

caring for pain

loss

road trip bundles

go-karts cutting corners

wrapped in warmth

six months in

a left handed ring worn

placed in a box

six months in

love poems
