Sisters since seventy-nine
Accepting each other from the beginning
Standing up for each other
As if we were biologically connected
No one knew we weren’t blood-related
Because we were as close as sisters could be
Two the same age and one four years older
Sharing clothes and toys
Sleeping in the same little bed
The older, more of a sister/mom
While the two younger forged a bond as deep as twins
Further proof that kids don’t need blood to be kin

This was so wonderful. Is this based on true events?
So blessed to have this in your life! Love it
This is so true! Love you ❤ The next one you need to add something about climbing on top of the barn to hide and eat the whole bowl of raw brownie mix! 🤣
Isn't that true. We don't blood to be family.
Love this. Completely relatable to me too!
So moving; I, too have sister's from "other mothers" and am so grateful for each and every one of them. Sweet and thoughtful poem!
Love love love this. The flow and the pure love through it are just delightful. Wonderful poem, Sharon!
