Eureka Moments
Sister by my Side,
Chasing wild fireflies
incandescence
at its best
Backyard joyous noise comes alive
as the day is put to rest.
Local fauna praising the Lord's sky
with a cadence of psalms.
Families thanking God for their
summery sustenance
with grateful palms.
Beams of fireworks ignite a horizon
delirious with dreams
dancing into summer-lit streams
teeming with resilient hope.
Remembering these Eureka moments
mitigates the grief
of losing you.
Helping me to cope
with the eerie fact of
no longer having my sister by my side.
Holding on with God as my Guide,
