Sir Blubbernaut and the Disaster

There was once a young knight who rode far and wide;

His name was Sir Blubbernaut and his horse was named Sky;

A forty day journey from Bortville to Bligh,

Was going quite well until his horse gave a cry--

A Great Bellower from East Tenantown appeared on the ‘rizon,

He brings out unspeakable howls from deep inside him,

As the valley grew darker and the knight became cold,

He sees the Bellower’s mouth, his tremendous fangs, blackest and bold.

Sir Blubbernaut leapt to action and drew out his lance,

Riding through the valley in his famous war dance,

The Bellower stopped as if caught in deep trance--

He waited for Blubbernaut’s fearless advance.

The Bellower yells, a guttural rattle;

The knight has no fear, he readies for battle;

A blow from above and the beast nearly has him,

But the hero fights back and the Bellower babbles.

The knight must think quickly-- mind over matter.

The beast sure was strong, but Blubbernaut was faster!

He runs ‘round the monster, preventing disaster;

He strikes from behind-- he’ll show who’s the master!

A few fatal blows and the Bellower wanes.

But wait; he remains, still kicking in pain.

A stab with the lance, a jut here and there,

The Great Bellower falls, and Sir Blubbernaut stands.
