Sins Of Thy Father

Cursed Blood

By Mercedes ChavezPublished 2 years ago 1 min read
Rose by Mercedes Chavez

You want nothing to do with me

But it feels like you never did

You don't give a damn about me

But you damned me from the start

I screamed for you to go to hell

You tell me not to bite my tongue

But no worries

I'm sure I'll join you there

Afterall, I am cursed by the sins of my father

Turns out

The apple didn't fall far from the tree

I am angry

I've manipulated

I've cheated

I've hurt the one I love the most

I never asked for this

I didn't choose the parents I was born to

I didn't ask for any of this

You hate me?

I hate myself

You wish I was different?

So do I

You don't understand why I am the way I am?

Do me a favor?

Take a look in the mirror

I wish you understood what you almost caused

But I doubt you would care

That you were the reason my light almost went out for good.
