I moved towards the stage, slightly shaking,
The ever-blinding but beautiful spotlight pierced into my eyes,
The crowd stared at my blank face, waiting to criticize me,
And in the distant rows of people, my parents anxiously mouthed 'good luck',
I knew that this was my chance,
My time to prove to everyone that I am actually good at something,
My game which I was longing to score in,
I smiled and signaled the technicians that I was ready,
That I was born ready,
They gently turned on my karaoke and they dimmed the lights,
I grabbed the microphone and let my heart sing,
Let it fly out of me and rock the stage,
The crowd was astonished but pleased at the same time,
My parents, clapping to my effort and positivity on stage,
And at that moment, at that milli-second,
When my brother was cheering,
When my friends were clapping and singing along,
When the judges were smiling and clapping,
I knew that I could do big things,
I knew that I could not only rock this stage but the entire world,
I knew that I was capable.
