Simple pleasures

It’s mosquito netting. Meant to enclose the bed in an impenetrable mosquito barrier.

But tie it back and viola! A beautiful ethereal space is created. Add fairy lights, and the scene is set for an incredible experience.

It seems like a place that angels may enjoy as much as I do. It’s as beautiful in daylight, without the lights, as it is at night.

It’s an emotional oasis of sorts, where emotions come to rest and reflect. It’s a spiritual respite , and my eyes tell my brain that’s its intensely beautiful, so my mind is invited in.

It’s so simple yet so sophisticated. The stuff that dreams are made of- if I dreamed. A touch of elegance and grandeur that only mosquito netting can provide.

I see it and smile, my heart sees beauty and appreciates it. My mind loves the billowing white folds and the white ribbons.

So once again, I’ll lay peacefully under this canopy of lights and soft beauty. And feel at home as if under the stars, as I drift off to sleep.

To the place where dreams are made. And angels stop by for a visit before they take their rightful places for the night, hovering over my people until the sun returns in the morning.
