Simone

"I love you Simone" I said

"I know Bart" said Simone

Reaching past the space between us and touching my softly burning greatest feature I found a condom on the night stand

"I love you Simone" I said

But Simon had turned and left me staring at faceless back-of-head

Companionship scaled her name as did I but she did not notice

She chose not to and when I had noticed this she was already far away

"I love you Simone" I said

I gazed upwards waiting for an end, to be taken upwards into a great life

"I loved you Simon" I said

Though there was no ear for my words to rest inside, no black day of silence did they pierce

Instead my words hung in low gravitational orbit, floating, unknowing of their burning

"I loved you..." I said

Watching embers of my promise float towards and stinging my eyes

Hopelessness drowned me but the pillow beneath my head gave me breath

I was sprung from the exit of that moment and flew,

Soaring past memories of moments of memories

Having chances to hold on but not reaching

Instead I was pulled across a space, into the burning of an overwhelming desire

I loved her and she left

Now each memory of mine hangs in a firmament, pointing towards the ground

I spread myself across the sky, knowing loneliness yet embracing so many others, I knew anonymity but was watched by all

This was me

I loved Simone

Too much

And they only wanted to touch me
