We were children together, love,
when the days were long and warm.
And time passed,
until we grew tall like rampant weeds.
Intertwined.
There's silver our hair now,
but we are still children together,
and your smile is bright.
Together we will be warm,
without fear of the coming night.

True Love growing old together. Beautifully done!
Very very beautiful love poem, that distinguish what true love is all about. 🥰❤️❤️❤️
An inspiring poem of enduring love ✅.
Love like this is so rare and those who have it are ao lucky. Loved your poem!
This is soo beautiful - I adored how you represented the transformation of them and their love over time with "grew tall like rampant weeds. Intertwined." This poem is something special.
True love last the passage of time. Brilliantly said, Dana chose the same line that stood out for me (along with the silver hair 😉)
Sweet, simple and romantic. I love the reference to being children together!
This is so sweet, Sherree. Absolutely love this <3
This was so sweet! One never has to fear anything, including age, as long as there is love. Well said!!
This made me smile. Beautiful piece.
Oh this was so powerful. So reflective. Unapologetic, grateful and warm. I like the expression behind the rampant weed. How it makes us so grounded in the moment, thinking of nothing but what we have right in front of us. ‘Without fear of the coming night’ I loved the ending. Positive and sweet. 👌🏽👏🏽♥️
Such a warm and beautiful poem. Excellent writing, S. A.
