Oh silver dancer, spinning, leaping, running through everyone's head.
Pirouettes and assemblés, sparkling twirls, a wondrous display.
You dance and dazzle all those who come near
Spending your nights lost in your performance, you and them
Countless hours, days, months, your life to this point has lead you to their stage you now belong
Performing for the ones who expect you to shine
Wondrous but wondering, when will the metallic sheen fade
When will your ribbons fray, and your hinges rust
When will the shimmering silver turn to a haunting gray
You'll become haunted by that very gray
Your dances slow, jumps lessen, spins only turn halfway
When this life you've built begins to crumble
And those you once dazzle begin to show dismay
Your time you have spent, with the desire to shine for everyone around you
Begins to end, begins to dim
Oh silver dancer, your last time on the stage
Maybe with this one final show, you'll dance for yourself
