Words etched in frozen paragraphs,

My mouth is a glacier.

Fear holding me in glass walls,

I’m Terrified of speaking.

Every letter is a razor,

She carves them under my tongue.

Liquid verses cutting away my heart’s rhythm.

The poems; an elixir.

My soul weeps,

No one hears the whispers.

Rhyming as I am dying,

My soul is fractured.

Begging for the sweet release of a divine ending.

Praying to feel something,

To touch someone as words spill out of my lungs.

Blood stained letters,

Filling my throat with winter.

One more day,

Another lover.

One more word,

Another death asunder.

"Liquid verses cutting away my heart’s rhythm." This was my favourite line. Your poem was so poignant. Loved it!
