Silent versus violent, two ways to be heard,

One speaks through actions, the other through words.

Silent, the calm, the peaceful, the still,

A power in its own, a force to instill.

A quiet voice, a gentle touch,

Can move mountains and hearts, with its hush.

The absence of sound, a deliberate choice,

A chance to listen, to hear, to rejoice.

But violence, the chaos, the anger, the pain,

A different way to speak, a different kind of gain.

It screams and it shouts, it hurts and it harms,

A power in its own, a force that alarms.

It grabs our attention, it demands to be seen,

Leaves behind scars, that can never be cleaned.

Silent or violent, a choice we must make,

To speak with our hearts, to give or to take.

For every action, there is a reaction,

May we choose wisely, to find satisfaction.
