Silent Reverie

A Requiem for the Past

By Ryan Kizzu BorkhamPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

In the corners of my mind, they lay,

Those memories of a bygone day.

A tapestry of moments once so bright,

Now shrouded in the gentle cloak of night.

They dance like shadows, faint and pale,

Whispers of a forgotten tale.

Moments that once bloomed with life,

Now rest in the realm of afterlife.

The laughter, the tears, the joy and pain,

All woven in a tapestry that wanes.

Yet in the hush of midnight's embrace,

They awaken, tenderly, with grace.

Gone, but not lost, they still reside,

In the chambers where my heart abides.

A tribute to the stories that have passed,

A tribute to the love that still holds fast.

Though time may fade their vibrant hue,

Their essence lingers, forever true.

Dead memories, a paradox they seem,

For they live on, within my dream.

So here's to the moments that have slipped away,

A silent tribute to yesterday.

In the realm of memories, they softly gleam,

A timeless tribute to a fading dream.
