Silent Isolation
Only in my wildest dreams could I imagine being like her.

Only in my wildest dreams
Could I imagine being like her.
A role model figure
Wiser than my older sister.
No matter the phase,
And at any age
She exudes abundant wealth and health.
I wonder, “at what stage
might I catch up myself?”
But the more she stares down on me,
And everyone else I know.
I trade envy for sympathy
Because she’s all alone.
A silenced isolation
Intrigues outsiders but it’s cruel.
Considering deep connection
Is how we all refuel.
She still holds my admiration
In pieces, whole, or new.
But I am her obsession.
We all are; orbiting me and you.
