Does my silence bother you?

Does it offend you?

Does it stir something deep within your soul?

Silence.

Does it eat away at you?

Does it force you to confront the loudest parts of yourself,

The parts screaming from below,

Screaming from a depth, you promised yourself you would never go.

Quiet...

Stillness...

Silence.

Why does that word offend you so?

With all your noise,

Perhaps,

You will never know.
