Sliding across the bench toward you

I reach out my hand for yours

Late night sounds hush around us

Empty coffee cups stacked

Nothing stirs

Could

Endings fade to black?

A delicate moment of connection and quiet reflection, questioning if even the softest endings dissolve into the silence of night.

Ouch. This left me with an ache in my belly and lump in my throat. Well done, Natalie. So very few words used to create something so emotive. Congrats on the Top Story!
