Should the world happen to shut down,
I would hold my breath and let it out.
Long and slow only to hear it
Enter the atmosphere
Nuanced.
“Come breathe with me”, I would say
Expand your ribs and fill the space.

The Scot
I couldn't tell if my stomach was sinking at what I was about to do or flipping in anticipation to see him. Twenty years since our first kiss in Mallorca, fifteen since our London rendezvous and it dawned on me... here I was chasing him again. I just needed to know. I needed to know what he meant when he text, "Promise that one day you'll just walk in and say hi". And here I am thirteen years later, very much attached, and so is he. He shouldn't have dared me like that. And I shouldn't have kept his messages.

the magic of kindness
Homelessness is hard But one act of kindness can Thaw even concrete —————— The older I get, the more I become very well aware of the privilege that I grew up with. There is no greater privilege than to have a roof over your head and food on the table every night when you come home from school or work. It might seem as though it’s a given or something everyone has when you’re young and naive, sheltered from some of the more harsh realities. But the older I’ve become, the more I realize just how singularly lucky I am. I might not have the means to eradicate homelessness, but I certainly recognize how lucky I am to occasionally have “extra,” and I will do as much as I can for as long as I can to give to those who may be in need, as encouraged by my kind and ever generous parents.

Getting Serious About Comedy (Part I)
If I were asked to remark on my life and the childhood that paved some road leading me to this point, I would have to say something about all the funny people who surrounded me for the last 26,872 days (and counting). Somewhere along that road, I became a big fan of laughter and the comedy that spawns it – and, I mean not only my own laughter, but the laughter of others, some of which I have actually been responsible for inducing.
