Shooting Stars

Star in Waiting

The sun shines in all its glory,

beaming its light,

day and night.

We the stars and the moon

just mere reflections of

what it is even in the noon

when all the power we have

is hard to notice.

Night falls and in the darkness

We shine, some brighter than others.

We shine, close but really miles apart.

A spectacular sight to behold

where we all hope to be the

shooting star of the night.

We shall wait our turn,

as we continue to be at awe

of your majestic splendour

all day and every night.
