ShipWrecked

By Your Heart

Why are you leaving again?

You've already left me several times,

What is it that I'm not giving to you?

I gave you my whole heart,

Four years worth;

And now,

You stand there telling me we are through.

Maybe it's not me after all,

Maybe it's you who is blinded by your

insecurities,

Why can you only see darkness where

there is light?

We have something precious;

More precious than you'll find elsewhere.

You always leave me shipwrecked,

My heart sinks to the bottom of the ocean,

And my head feels like the hull of a ship,

Falling to pieces;

Slowly drowning in the violent waves

Of a neverending storm,

Stranded;

I have been shipwrecked,

By your heart
